Camille + Rob’s elegant garden wedding took place at the Heritage Estates in Arroyo Grande, California. The manicured gardens complimented Camille’s vision with lots of greenery and natural setting. They both love the outdoors, so this was the perfect location for a nature-themed wedding. Camille organized all of the California wedding details while living in Texas.

In June 2021, the COVID pandemic started to lighten across California. Family and friends attended from other areas of California, and across the United States to watch the couples celebrate their love and happiness. You see, Rob is a recent graduate of United States Military Academy West Point. His armed forces groomsmen and friends were scattered across the US, but no one would miss this event!

The couple would like to thank all of the local vendors who made this a day so special, including those who supplied the wedding attire, florals, food, tableware, and music.

Love story of Camille + Rob

Camille & Rob’s love story started when they were seventh graders in Junior High school. They became high school sweethearts who loved to hike, have cookouts, and watch movies. A few years later they were still dating and never talked about marriage. The couple figured that when the time was right, everything would fall into place. When asked later if Camille suspected that Rob was about to propose, she said “no”, she honestly had no idea it was going to happen.

Surprise Proposal on the Beach

Rob’s surprise proposal took place in Santa Barbara, California on the beach. He did the traditional “down-on-one-knee” proposal on the cliffs overlooking the water. It was a beautiful moment and friends were there to watch.

Rob chose the beach to propose because Santa Barbara was a location that they both loved. Despite some of the setbacks they experienced, like the engagement ring getting stuck in the best man’s pocket, the day was very special for the two of them as they professed their love for each other. After the proposal, Camille’s family surprised her by driving to Santa Barbara and joining in the celebration.
