One of the most heartwarming and lovely weddings I have ever seen was Stacey & Hank’s non-traditional, vintage, and romantic wedding at the Madonna Inn. The couple was amazing to work with – there were so many beautiful and emotional moments from the wedding that I will adore for a lifetime.
Stacey & Hank met through mutual friends and fell in love. It was Stacey’s birthday when Hank surprised and proposed in the Botanical Gardens in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. When Stacey shared their story, she mentioned how she fell in love with Hank and how much she adores Hank’s sense of humor and style. They love spending quality time with each other at home while snuggling with their dogs and enjoying a great meal.
They decided on the unique Madonna Inn for its timeless elegance and charm. It is a quirky yet glamorous venue that caters to grand and intimate events. The picturesque settings, resort-style amenities, and enchanting and opulent spaces make it a preferred choice amongst couples.
Stacey & Hank did a fantastic job centering their wedding vibe around their personalities. It was an intimate wedding with romantic and bold elements and a classic feel with a dash of glitz and glam.
The day started by photographing the couple getting ready in their separate rooms. The beautiful bride, Stacey, wore a dress designed by Miosa Bride and shoes by Badgley Mischka; while Hank opted for Indochino as the suit designer and shoes by TUK. Stacey complemented her look with gorgeous and stylish jewelry by Kay Jewelers. Her makeup, along with her beautiful, long, wavy red hair, looked amazing and fulfilled the glamorous overall vibe.
One of the other unique things about this non-traditional wedding was the floral decor which the Stacey and her bridesmaids wonderfully designed. It was a pure DIY activity they all loved and enjoyed doing together!
After getting ready, Stacey and Hank made their way with the wedding party to the ceremony…but Hank could not see Stacey before the ceremony! One of the most touching moments was capturing Hank’s reaction when they saw Stacey walked down the aisle. The ceremony was held in the Secret Garden where Stacey & Hank said their vows in front of friends and family, who showed incredible support. It was emotional. Stacey’s uncle, officiated their wedding, only adding to the sweetness and personalization of the day.
The couple chose the most beautiful group of people to stand by them on their big day. As the couple exchanged vows and they celebrated their first kiss, all of the guests clapped and cheered. After the ceremony, the guests went to cocktail hour while we spent time in the garden to capture some stunning portraits.
Later we joined the guests at the reception who waited eagerly for the couple. Stacey and Hank celebrated with wonderful toasts, cake cutting, and dancing. The black cake was so delicious and was designed by The Cakery SLO.
Finally, our evening with the lovely couple ended, and we enjoyed every bit of it.
Stacy & Hank’s non-traditional wedding was an honor to be part of, and I could not be more thrilled for them. Wishing you endless love and laughter in all the years ahead. Thank you for choosing Renoda Campbell Photography to be part of your new beginnings.
