You’re ready to ask the love of your life to marry you. Is this whole “marriage proposal” feeling a bit overwhelming to plan? Don’t worry, you’ve come to the right spot. I am a seasoned San Luis Obispo proposal and wedding photographer. I help you navigate the process to reduce stress and make sure your moment is captured as you envision.
While “Engagement season” runs all year long, surprisingly most occur from Thanksgiving to Valentine’s Day. I would be happy to help you create your plan. You select HOW to ask someone to marry you, but I always recommend you have a PLAN in place. This plan takes into account every part of your day. Will you have a ring and a speech prepared for the ideal marriage proposal or are you planning something a little more unique?
Make sure the ring (or other article for your love) is fitted and securely stored. Take some focused time alone to prepare what you want to say. Then, choose an activity that you will surely both enjoy! This can be wine tasting, a nice dinner, a special picnic, or going on a trip!
An experienced photographer will help you plan out the perfect scene. I can become your “silent associate” to bring your ideas to life without your lover getting suspicious! Go into this search with a budget in mind. The photographer will charge based on your wants for the day. Look for a photographer that is based nearby the city where you want to propose and/or understands the area.
Expect the marriage proposal to last about one hour. This time includes walking to the site, popping the question, and photographs afterwards. Create a suggested route with your photographer that enables them to capture the ideal angle (e.g. look of surprise). And don’t forget the details! For example, will you have a special ring box, flowers, a picnic, or anything else that needs to be set in place?
Whatever you choose, remember that this day is about showing your partner how much you love them. You want to spend the rest of your life with them. All else is secondary but should strongly be considered in the planning.
Congratulations on your decision to marry the love of your life. Best wishes from Renoda Campbell Photography!
